Our interior design school, located in the heart of Portland, provides aspiring designers the opportunity to cultivate their natural design talents through hands-on learning programs in a supportive classroom environment. Our curriculum enables students to transform their passion into an extraordinary design portfolio. Students build confidence as they acquire the knowledge and skills required to succeed professionally in the industry.
Students receive a Certificate in Interior Custom Design once they complete the Fundamentals of Interior Design Certification. In this program, students develop a competitive portfolio and expansive knowledge base which empowers them to work in the Interior Design industry. Projects include the full design and presentation of two residential spaces, including an entire home as the final project. Additional client-specific and concept-based activities are incorporated throughout the course to enforce learning and presentation skills. This program puts equal focus toward core design knowledge, design expression and business practices that together enable students to become successful industry professionals.
Students receive a Professional Certificate in Interior Custom Design once they complete the Master Certification Program. This program combines the Fundamentals of Interior Design Program with a series of required courses that provide students with a comprehensive, business-minded interior design education. The Master Certification Program requires completion of the following courses:
Individual courses may also be taken by students not enrolled in the Master Certification Program, and by industry professionals with relevant design education or work experience. Read more about all of our courses on the Course Descriptions tab.
