This 10-week virtual course prepares students with the introductory knowledge and skills required to work on various commercial design projects for select industries and facility types. The course will span commercial interior design theory and process, select codes and key construction documents, contract products, sourcing and presentation. Students implement learning objectives into weekly assignments which culminate to two portfolio projects that demonstrate an understanding of the commercial design process. The Fundamentals of Interior Design is a required prerequisite for this course. A general overview of program topics are outlined below and subject to change. A detailed syllabus is provided upon enrollment.
