Portland, Oregon is known for our Foodie Culture. There are many great restaurants and food carts on Mississippi Avenue, serving up everything from Southern cuisine to Mexican food to artisanal pizza.
Our Portland students love taking their lunch break over at the Mississippi Marketplace which has an abundance of local food carts, picnic tables and a roaring fire all day.
HSID CEO Stephanie’s must-have is the traditional Moberi Açaí Bowl from Moberi, which was originally featured on Shark Tank!
Have a Drink
There are several bars and breweries on Mississippi Avenue, offering a wide selection of craft beers, cocktails, and wine.
For coffee lovers, Amy and Courtney from our Admin Team recommend Fresh Pot for the unbeatable Stumptown coffee. If you’re hungry, treat yourself to a bagel or pastry as well!
