A new term is underway at HSID Utah, and there’s a lot to be excited about.This term marks a new chapter for our students and our school as we settle into a larger new campus designed to give our growing community more room to learn, create, and connect.That growth is reflected in our enrollment, too. This term’s class is full, and actually exceeded our expectations.
And just as exciting as the size of this new class is the diversity of experiences our students bring with them. From recent high school graduates to business owners, career-changers, and stay-at-home parents, our students come to HSID Utah from all kinds of backgrounds and stages of life. Their different experiences, perspectives, and points of view make our community stronger and reinforce something we believe deeply: a career in interior design can be for everyone.
But the most exciting part is what’s already happening inside the classroom.
Our students are diving into their projects from the start, putting their skills into practice and beginning the work of building professional relationships within the industry. At HSID Utah, education is about more than learning the principles of interior design. It’s about learning how to apply those skills in the real world and beginning to build the professional network that will carry students into their careers.And we’re just getting started.
Field visits are about to begin, giving students opportunities to get outside the classroom, experience the design industry firsthand, and connect what they’re learning to real spaces, projects, products, and professionals.
It’s an exciting time at HSID Utah. A bigger campus, a full and growing student community, hands-on projects, industry connections, and field experiences are all coming together as we begin another term.
We’re looking forward to seeing where this group of students takes it.
