Inna and her husband, son, two energetic dogs, and their boss cat moved to NYC from Ukraine eight years ago, not knowing what was in store for them…
Inna has a Master’s Degree in Devices and Systems of Attitude, Navigation, and Control of 3-dimensional Motion and worked for five years at the National Design Bureau of Ukraine. During that time, she primarily worked with technical challenges but was always interested in combining technical and art skills. She has found that Interior Design harmoniously combines technical challenges and creativity, which she finds inspiring.
The transition to the US was an interesting and challenging time in her life: a new culture, a new language, a new career, and many new friends. Moving to a new country motivated her to try something she always wanted to pursue. She practiced sketching, 3D modeling and joined many architecture/design-related groups and meetups in NYC. After some time, she found her first job related to architecture and interior design. This job helped her realize that interior design combines all the skills she loves and is a career she plans to continue.
Inna has a love of outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and camping. Her passion for the outdoors brought her to Colorado 2 years ago. At this time, she started exploring Interior Design schools to get the knowledge and skills required to begin a career as an Interior Designer. After an extensive search, she is pleased with her choice of Heritage School of Interior Design in Denver.
“Heritage School of Interior Design has very experienced instructors and staff, and very useful field visits to local showrooms. I’m very lucky to be on this path with my group who is super supportive and creates a great atmosphere in which to enjoy the learning process. I’m so thrilled that I’m getting closer to my dream job in interior design.”
She wishes to create a functional and aesthetic interior design environment where her clients will enjoy life and/or work more productively.
On February 24, 2022, war began in Inna’s native county, Ukraine, where many of her family members still reside. As a result, her views on life and values changed. She understands that life is unpredictable and fragile; we should live here and now.
‘’If you have a goal, do not put it off for tomorrow and respect what you have today.”
Inna’s previous math teacher reminded her of Albert Einstein’s quote: “Genius is 1% talent and 99% hard work”. She has followed that quote her entire life and never gives up. Inna has definitely applied that throughout this intense, accelerated program, and her efforts are notable! We can’t wait to see where she takes this next!
