The Residential and Commercial Design Master’s Certification prepares students for a career in interior design with a focus on technical expertise and business skills. Students gain proficiency in both residential and commercial design, learning to navigate real-world project challenges with confidence.
Building on the Interior Design Fundamentals Certification, this program includes skill-building electives and culminates in a final portfolio presentation, giving students a comprehensive skill set and a polished portfolio that sets them apart in the interior design industry.

Please note: The certificates for virtual programs at Heritage are conferred by the Washington Workforce Training & Education Coordinating Board. Each state may have different requirements based on their educational regulating bodies and requirements for state licensure. If you are pursuing a virtual certification through Heritage, we highly recommend checking with the state in which you intend to work as a designer to determine if the virtual certification will be recognized by the regulating body or prospective employers in that state as there may be limitations.
