Fundamentals of Interior Design

Turn your passion for design into a professional career with our Fundamentals of Interior Design Program. This dynamic program is your pathway to the interior design industry, combining hands-on projects with essential knowledge in color theory, design history, lighting, the design process, socially responsible design and so much more.

You’ll embark on an exciting journey of four residential design projects, each building your portfolio and refining your unique style. These projects lead to the pinnacle of the program—designing a full residential home. From concept to presentation, you’ll apply everything you’ve learned to create a stunning, cohesive, and functional residential space.

The program immerses you in the local design community through weekly field visits to showrooms, design firms, manufacturers and more, where you’ll connect with industry experts and gain valuable networking opportunities.

Master Certificate Program

This program combines the Fundamentals of Interior Design Certificate with a series of required courses that provide students with a comprehensive, business-minded interior design education as well as a final portfolio presentation to give students a well-rounded education and competitive portfolio. The Master Certificate Program requires completion of the following state-of-the-art technical courses:

Upon completion of the Master Certificate Program, graduates are eligible to complete the RIDQC exam to become certified. Learn more about RIDQC here.
