Fundamentals of Interior Design

Upon successful completion of the Fundamentals of Interior Design Program, students are awarded a Certificate in Interior Design. Throughout this comprehensive program, students acquire an extensive knowledge base, providing them with the expertise needed to thrive in the Interior Design industry. The program encompasses the full design and presentation of two residential spaces, culminating in the creation of an entire home for the final project. Beyond this, the curriculum integrates client-specific and concept-based activities, strategically incorporated to reinforce both learning and presentation skills. The program maintains a balanced emphasis on core design knowledge, design expression, and essential business practices, equipping students with the multifaceted skill set necessary to embark on successful careers as industry professionals.

Fundamentals of Interior Design Part-time Flex Series

The Fundamentals of Interior Design – Part-time Flex Design Series for Working Professionals offers a comprehensive education tailored for individuals balancing work, family, or other commitments. Providing the same high-quality instruction as our traditional full-time Fundamentals Program, this flexible option meets twice a week over 24 weeks, allowing students to pursue their passion for interior design while maintaining their responsibilities.

Master’s of Interior Design Certificate Program

This program combines the Fundamentals of Interior Design Certificate with a series of required courses that provide students with a comprehensive, business-minded interior design education as well as a final portfolio presentation to give students a well-rounded education and competitive portfolio. The certificate is granted through the Dallas Heritage School of Interior Design location. The Master’s of Interior Design Certificate Program requires completion of the following state-of-the-art technical courses:

The Fundamentals of Interior Design course, costing $8,995, is a prerequisite for the Master’s of Interior Design Certificate Program. The cost for the full program is $19,245.

HSID Dallas offers students the following tuition payment options:

Payment In Full - A one-time payment due one week prior to the start date of:

Any Master-level individual course must be paid in full at the time of registration

Installment Option – Fundamentals of Interior Design Program

Three installments

- 1st installment of $2,998.34 due 1-week prior to the first day of Fundamentals class
- 2nd installment of $2,998.33 due 30-days after the first day of Fundamentals class
- 3rd installment of $2,998.33 due 60 days after the first day of Fundamentals class

Installment Option – Master's of Interior Design Certificate Program

Six installments

- 1st installment of $796.67 due 1-week prior to the first day of Fundamentals class

(Term 1 – AutoCAD and SketchUp while taking Fundamentals)

- 2nd installment of $796.67 due 30-days after the first day of Fundamentals class
