We are excited to share that a special collection of homes is now open to the public in the beautiful Carillon Parc neighborhood of Southlake. The Showplace Community features five stunning homes created to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and visitors are invited to tour them during a limited open house event this March.
The Showplace Community is an extension of the St. Jude Dream Home Showplace where five custom builders have come together with a shared goal of raising one million dollars for St. Jude. Each home highlights thoughtful design while supporting the hospital’s mission to advance research and treatment for children facing serious illnesses.
The Heritage School of Interior Design Dallas campus had the opportunity to collaborate on the custom homes. Designer Donna Moss invited the school to participate in the design process of the home built by Beckett Graham Luxury Home Builders, creating a unique concept centered around luxury designer labels such as Tiffany, Chanel, Dior, and Louis Vuitton.
Under the guidance of Kim Bailey, five students were paired with professional design mentors to bring the upstairs spaces to life. Each room was inspired by one of the iconic fashion houses, giving students the chance to translate the essence of these well known brands into interior spaces.
One room held a particularly meaningful purpose. Kim personally mentored two HSID Dallas students in designing a bedroom inspired by a young girl named Kenzie who fought cancer for 2 ½ years. Knowing that purple is Kenzie’s favorite color, the space was thoughtfully created with her in mind, adding a heartfelt layer to a project already centered on generosity and hope.
