Heather brings a balance of creativity, practicality, and a love of using modern design technology to each design project. While she enjoys the practical challenges of space planning, the aesthetic aspects of the design process, and drafting design and construction plans, her favorite part of her job is creating the 3D models and renderings that help bring the projects to life and that help clients visualize their new spaces before they’re built. Prior to her Interior design career, Heather was a licensed Realtor for over a decade, specializing in residential staging. Upon graduating from Interior design school, Heather worked in 3D modeling and virtual design services for several Interior design firms around the country, as well as for several product retailers and rendering software companies before moving into the local design-build-remodeling world. Since then, she has worked with multiple award-winning design teams over the years doing what she loves most: helping put together and sell fabulous design projects with her artistic visual communication methods. Heather has found a new love of teaching these skills to her fellow interior designers and students. When she is not teaching, she has her own designer to designer services business where she gets to work alongside many talented and well-regarded interior designers and construction firms, helping them complete their sales presentations, design materials, and other various design related needs. She always looks for ways to continue to grow and improve, and often looks for ways to keep up with trends in smart design and technology. She also loves cats, art, snacks, and road trips. Heather has a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Interior Design, an Associate of Science Degree in Interior Design Technology, and certifications in Chief Architect software and residential staging.
