Like many Heritage students, interior design is a second career for Christi. During her first round of college, Christi earned a double BA in Geography and Environmental & Sustainability Studies. After years of trying to embrace her first career, she kept finding herself drawn to the world of interior design. She eventually began another round of school and earned a Certificate in Computer Aided Design. This allowed her to work as an architectural drafter while completing an AAS in Interior Design.
Education became an unexpected passion of Christi’s when she began tutoring her classmates in AutoCAD and SketchUp and she has now taught at Heritage since 2021. She has had great fun exploring methods to make these programs work well for interior designers and found that she has an exceptional ability for communicating these techniques to students. Christi has an uncanny talent for articulating difficult concepts and is always willing to go above and beyond to ensure students' understanding of the programs.
