Cristian Gonczi is the founder of PDX Remodeling & Design, a residential remodeling company based in Portland, Oregon. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, Cristian began his career as a laborer and worked through every phase of the building process before launching his own company. Cristian has extensive experience collaborating with both in-house and independent designers, and he brings a deep understanding of construction codes, project sequencing, and communication dynamics between trades and creatives. He has been a strong advocate for closing the gap between design intent and construction reality, ensuring smoother project execution and stronger outcomes for clients. As an instructor at Heritage School of Interior Design, Cristian is committed to helping students build confidence when working with contractors and navigating real-world construction environments. He has hired interns and employees from the program and remains a passionate supporter of HSID's mission.
