Introduction to AutoCAD | Denver

COURSE OVERVIEW

This 6-week course will provide students with an introduction to the basic tools & technical skills needed to create 2-D drawings for interior design in AutoCAD. Students will also develop a personalized template that they can use for any drafting project.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of commonly used tools in AutoCAD by creating a basic 2-D floor plan and elevation
  • Manipulate settings in AutoCAD to create appropriately scaled drawings in 2-D
  • Create a personalized title block and drawing titles

REQUIRED MATERIALS

*Prior to the first day of class, you will receive instructions on how to download the AutoCAD software for students.

  • Leaders and Key Notes
  • Other Template Settings

Week 6 – Layers

  • Stairs
  • Titleblocks
