The ability to clearly communicate design ideas to clients is a necessary skill for all interior designers and decorators. Whether you are designing a simple furniture layout or complex custom casework details, the use of 2-D drafting software makes the communication and presentation of ideas and designs more efficient for the designer and easier for clients to comprehend. Over the 6 weeks of this course students will learn to use AutoCAD (Computer Aided Design) to efficiently create professional looking drawings to present their designs.
At the completion of this course students will be able to create a complete set of interior design drawings including an as built, new floor plans, elevations, electrical plans, lighting plans, furniture plans, and sheet layouts.

- Powerpoint slides for each lecture will be provided
- AutoCAD Software
Prior to the first day of class, your instructor will send you instructions on how to download the free AutoCAD and SketchUp software for students.
